15-min FREE Crochet Easter Egg Cozy pattern
For Beginners
Looking for a quick and adorable Easter crochet project? You’re in the right place! This free 15-minute crochet Easter egg cozy pattern with bunny ears is the perfect way to add some handmade charm to your springtime celebrations.
This pattern is so easy, my 9 year old daughter was able to work it up quite quickly!
It was her idea to add the googly eyes, but you could also draw some eyes straight on the Easter eggs.
We'll be placing these on our dining table to spruce it up for Easter, but you could also use them as cute little gifts.
Best part? It works up in just 15 minutes, so you can easily use up your yarn scraps and whip up a whole basket full in one cozy afternoon.

Free Crochet Easter Egg Cozy Pattern Instructions
R1: 6 sc into a Magic Circle (6). Pull MC closed. Sl st to join.
Note: If you don't know how to crochet a magic circle, you could also start with a ch 2, then work the 6 single crochet into the second chain from your hook.

R2: Ch 1, inc around, sl st to join. (12)
For beginners: work 2 sc into each st around. (12)
Note: It's best to insert a stitch marker in the first stitch of each round. Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.

R3: Ch 1 [sc, inc] x 6, sl st to join. (18)
For beginners: [Work a sc, then 2 sc into the next stitch]. Repeat brackets 6 times (18)

R4: Ch 2, dc into the FLO x 18, sl st to join.(18)
For beginners: Work dc sts into the front loops only of each stitch around. (18)
Note: You'll notice a ridge formed at the base of your egg cozy.

R5: Ch 2, dc around, sl st to join. (18)
Note: dc normally into both loops.

We are now starting the first ear:
R6: Ch 6, [sc into the 2nd ch from hook, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st to join into next st on rim, 2 sl sts on rim], ch 6, repeat [ ] for the second ear.

Leave a 4" tail, cut your yarn and fasten off.

Weave in your ends neatly with your yarn needle. Try to avoid tying a knot at the bottom so your cozy stands straight.

Cut off excess.

And that's it! You're done! Now you can make several more in different colors.
You could either stick a couple of googly eyes onto your bunny under the ears, or draw a bunny face onto the eggs and keep the ears positioned behind the eggs.
Happy Easter!
