- Every week you can download the free crochet patterns PDFs for that week only.
- The coupon code will be posted here.
- You come to this blog post and click on the designs you like.
- Clicking on the link of the pattern you like takes you to the designers blog post where they will have the FREE DOWNLOAD button posted (this button below).
- Click on the Download Button.
- Once you are on Ravelry/designer's blog post you need to click on "BUY NOW".
- Select "Use Coupon Code"
- Enter the "coupon code" for that week in the box that appears for the code at checkout.
- Download your free pdf.

Welcome to Week Three of the "September Makes Crochet Pattern Blog Hop". For Week 3 we have 7 wonderful free crochet patterns that you can make with beginner crochet skills.
Whether you are a beginner at crochet or an experienced crocheter, this collection has some beautiful projects for you to get started on. They work up quickly and offer some great opportunities to develop your crochet skills and learn some new techniques.

Have you got some plants you love but the plastic pots they came in are less than beautiful?
Now you can make yourself a quick and easy plant cozy using some simple crochet stitches and worsted weight yarn. You can use your favourite colours that go with your home décor.
If you prefer not to have stripes, you can just make your plant cozy with a solid colour. It is made by holding two strands of yarn together as you go to create a stable cozy.

This pattern was designed for a 4” pot.
4” tall and 4”across the base.
Materials:
Yarn: Worsted weight (4).You will need 2 contrasting colours to make the stripes. You will be using two strands together as you make this basket.
You can use any worsted weight/arran yarn in your stash.

2. Nitta Headband by Pam's Cozy Corner
Remember how sometimes you walk outside and feel like your ears are about to fall off because of the cold? Sometimes you don’t even feel them! Well this stylish ear warmer is the answer for you

Size: Headband measure 4.5”, but it can be made as wide as desired.
Materials:
Redheart Super Saver Aran Fleck 5 oz/141 g, 260 yds/238 m (MC) weight 4 (worsted, medium)
Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti-pilling weight 4, (worsted, medium) 100% Acrylic, 185yd/170m (3.0 oz/100g) Goldmine-Used double (folded) since the yarn is thinner (CC)
3. Speedy Crochet Cowl by Loops And Love Crochet
This fun-textured cowl is super easy & fast to work up. Makes great gifts if you're in a rush!
It uses super bulky yarn that gives it just the right amount of softness & squish.
If you'd like a longer cowl, there are instructions in the pattern that will show you exactly how to change sizing.

Super Bulky Yarn (# 6 weight) in color of choice about 6 oz / 170 g (98 yards/90 m)
Crochet wind spinners have taken the internet by storm lately, and for good reason! They make such gorgeous decor items and make wonderful gifts too!
I experimented with some lovely color combinations with this wind spinner, you may check it out for yourself. Then I got into my sunflower craze and thought I'd try crocheting a sunflower wind spinner. I'm loving the outcome!
These wind spinners are super easy to whip up, they are great stash busters and don't take up much time at all.

This Wind Spinner measures about 18.5" / 47cm length (excluding sunflower embellishment)
Sunflower embellishment measures about 4" / 10cm in diameter.
Materials:
100% cotton yarn (I used Lang Handarbeitsgarn for these sunflowers. You could also use Schachenmayr Catania) in these colors: (Black, Brown or Green), Orange & Yellow.
6.0 mm crochet hook

Beads or any embellishment you'd like to add to your wind spinner. For this pattern I added the Sunflower Appliqué.

These pattern instructions will give you an exact 4 inch square that can be used as Coasters, or as Motifs to join and make into a bigger project.
You can make the square as big as you want. You could incorporate this into bigger projects like bags, tops or blankets.
