Measurements/Size
These snowflakes measure about 11 cm (4.3") in diameter after blocking.
Yardage
I used about 10 m of yarn for this project (11 yards)
Gauge
16 stitches and 9 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4") in double crochet
Notes
- If you'd like to have a closed center, start with a Magic Circle. If you'd like an open center, then ch 8, sl st to join to form a circle and work R 1 into the chain circle.
- Numbers at the end of each row (in brackets) indicate the number of final stitches in that row.
- Please note that I use US crochet terms.

Blocking
To stiffen your snowflake coaster, soak it in some cornflour and water mixture (1 teaspoon cornflour mixed in half a cup of water, then heated gently on the stovetop).
Wring out the excess water.
Place it on the Snowflake Blocking Template (Download for free below) and pin it into place with sewing pins.
Let dry overnight. I wasn't patient with mine, so I used a blow dryer!

And that's it! You've got yourself a cute snowflake coaster.
Make a set of 6 and gift to your friends this Christmas 🙂
Enjoy!

I have finished the snow Flakes. Loved them. This pattern is a perfect Christmas pattern. It worked up easy and the instructions were very clear. It works up fast and is a great gift for anyone. Not to mention, making the house very festive. I think it can also be used to make a table runner if sewn together. You can use any colors you prefer. I loved making these coasters and coming up with ideas so they can be used all year round. I have also finished the Ravelry post. My Raverly name is ReginaLee1960. So you can visit it. Ready for another test.
