Beginner Face Scrubbie Pattern Instructions
Start off by tying a slip knot, then Ch 3
Join to the first stitch with a slip stitch to form a circle.
Optional alternative: You could also try the Magic Circle for a tight & closed center.
Round 1:
Ch 2 (counts as first dc in this and all rounds), then into that circle you just created, work 9 dc stitches (10).
If you started with a Magic Circle, pull it closed. Join to the top of the first stitch with a sl st (10).
Round 2:
Ch 2. Dc into same st as ch 2.
2 dc into each stitch around.
Join with a sl st to the top of first stitch of this round (20).
Round 3:
ch 1. Sc into the same st, 2 sc into each stitch around (40).
Join with a sl st to the top of first stitch of this round.
Weave in your ends with your darning needle. Make sure you weave them in properly because this scrubbie will probably be getting a lot of use!
And remember to weave in your beginning tail too!
Cut off excess.
And voila! You're done! Now you can make a few more.
And if you're giving them as gifts, you can wrap them in these scrubbie tags.
Note: If you'd like a larger face scrubbie, you may add a 3rd round of dc before your last round. Follow this chart for the increases in dc. For more information, please have a look at this post on How To Crochet A Flat Circle.
