Easy Halloween Frankenstein Earrings Crochet Pattern
Head
R 1: With black, work 6 sc into a Magic Circle (6)
Pull the Magic Circle closed and sl st to join.

Note: If you don't yet know how to work a Magic Circle, start with a ch 2, then work 6 sc into the second chain from your hook.
R 2: Ch 1, 2 sc into each st around, sl st to join (12)

Leaving a long tail (about 6"), cut your yarn and fasten off.
R 3: Join green, sc into each st around (12)
Note: Try to work over your green yarn tail so you don't have to weave them in later.

R 4-5: Ch 1, sc into each st around, sl st to join (12)
Optional: If you'd like a more oval-shaped head, then add another round after R 5.

Note: If you’re using safety eyes, insert them into the 4th round, one stitch apart. If you’re using stick-on eyes, you can add them after you’ve completed crocheting.

R 6: Ch 1, sc2tog (decrease) around, sl st to join (6)

Leaving a long tail, cut your yarn and fasten off.
Stuff the head lightly with fiberfill or yarn scraps.

Thread your yarn needle with the remaining green tail.
Sew the gap closed by inserting your yarn needle into each of the 6 remaining stitches from the outside inwards, and pull it closed tightly.

Thread your long black yarn tail and pull it out to the hairline of the Frankenstein's head (black section).

With the black yarn tail, sew vertical lines of varying lengths downwards from the black section of the head into the green.

Weave in your end, cut excess and remove any stuffing that might have come through on the outside of the head.
Eyes
If you haven't already inserted safety eyes, glue on black stick-on eyes. You could also work a French Knot for eyes if you prefer.
Below is a video of how to work a French Knot. Make sure you insert your needle at the back of the eyball at the beginning and end of your knot. Tie a normal double knot when you're done and tuck your tails into the back of the head.
Repeat pattern for the second earring.
Attaching the earring hooks
Cut a strand of black yarn, and thread your yarn needle. The length of yarn will depend on how long you want your earrings to hang down.
Insert your needle from the bottom of the head to the top, then pass it through the earring jump ring and down from the top of the head to the bottom once again. Make sure to leave a stitch in between on the top of the head.

Tie a double knot and cut your yarn tails.
Repeat the instructions for the second earring.

And there you have it! A cute pair of Frankenstein Monster earrings for Halloween!
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
Happy hooking 🙂
