These Positive Potatoes are very popular among school age juniors. All my Grandchildren have them and hang them on their backpacks for school. They use any small amounts of yarn. Hook size and yarn is not important. You will need safety eyes (embroider if child is under 3). A sheet of 'sayings' is included at the end of the pattern.
