This Christmas cup sleeve is such a great festive gift that’s useful and quick to whip up. No fancy stitches, just some Christmas colored yarn and basic double crochets.

This pattern is ideal if you’re a beginner crocheter looking for a simple project when you don’t have much time on your hands.

You can make so many of these in various colors and add your own appliqués to give them that festive touch.

I’ve also designed a printable cup for you that you can download for free and add to your cup cozy to make the perfect gift.

**Materials Needed**
DK yarn in acrylic or cotton in contrasting festive colors. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK.
4 mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

**Abbreviations Used in Pattern**
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st = stitch
sts = stitches
fo = fasten off

**Skill Level**
Beginner

**Measurements/Size**
Width = approx. 10 cm when folded, height = 8 cm

**Yardage**
I used about 25 m for this project (27 yards)

**Gauge**
16 stitches and 10 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4″) in dc with 4 mm hook

**Notes**
– Use any type of yarn to achieve gauge.

– Try to crochet over your yarn tails so you don’t have to weave them in later.

– Please note that I use US crochet terms.
