Beginner Friendly Crochet Clutch Bag Pattern PDF

**Materials Needed**
Macrame cotton chord in desired color. I used Recycled Denim Jeans for this project (Bobbing). Here are some substitute options you can use: T-shirt Yarn (Jersey Yarn), Cotton Rope / Braided Cotton Yarn (3-5 mm thick), Bulky Cotton Yarn (thicker cotton yarn (like Lily Sugar’n Cream BIG or similar), Crochet Cotton (Multiple Strands Held Together or you can use this method to make thin yarn thicker), Jute or Hemp Twine which will give a natural, rustic texture.
7 mm crochet hook
Large yarn needle
Button in contrasting color – either ready-made, DIY or simply crochet a small circle (pattern below).

**Abbreviations Used in Pattern**
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st = stitch
sts = stitches
sk = skip
fo = fasten off

**Measurements/Size**
This clutch is 23 cm wide * 15 cm high

**Yardage**
I used about 25 meters for this project (27 yards)

**Gauge**
10 sts and 8 rows in hdc = 10 cm (4″)

– Numbers at the end of each row (in brackets) indicate the number of final stitches in that row.

– Ch 1 at the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch.

– Please note that I use US crochet terms.
